Previous Windows wallpaper shows on shutdown

Wow, long time since I posted on here! If you see your previous Windows wallpaper/desktop image every time you shutdown or boot up then you might be interested to know how to get rid of it for good. The solution is simple (he says with hindsight): Just select 'None' from the list of wallpapers (having right-clicked on desktop and gone to properties > desktop) and then click 'Apply'. Then select your current wallpaper again and click apply. Next time you shutdown or boot-up you will just see a plain wallpaper rather than that old wallpaper- hooray!
